Experts agree that carbon in our atmosphere is the leading cause of climate change.
Every one of your completed Tree People pledges prevents some of this carbon from making it into the atmosphere. It might be a very small amount. But when we add it all together we get some impressive carbon savings.
So far, the Tree People forest contains 33,452 trees and together we've completed a total of 174,363 pledges and a total carbon saving of 21,898,236kg* . This is equivalent to planting 47,501 native trees.

You've unplugged your mobile chargers when they're not in use for 212,234 days.
You've started 1,747 vegetable gardens.
1,384 months of domestic flights have been avoided. That's about 327,443kgs of carbon saved. This is the same amount of carbon as driving to Auckland from Wellington 468 times in a fully loaded truck.
You've turned off the lights in empty rooms for 117,672 days.
You've spent 97,710 minutes less in the shower. That's saved approximately 22,571kgs of carbon. It's also saved water and you still smell good.
Instead of bottled water, you've drunk tap water for 32,996 days.
You've put 1,233 No Junk Mail signs on letterboxes.
You've installed 12,371 energy efficient light bulbs. That's saved about 30,515kgs of carbon from entering the atmosphere which is equivalent to 14 return flights from Auckland to LA.
